Just got this. Case appears to be solid and well made and it sure is pretty. My Alvarez Parlor fits perfectly and will be well protected at home and about. Plenty of latches will ensure no inadvertent top releases and guitar is just snug enough inside to limit movement and protect agains shock.

A while back I purchased an Alvarez Artist AP66SHB Parlor Acoustic Shadowburst guitar. I had a hard time finding a gig bag or hard case that would fit because the AP66SHB is a little longer and wider than traditional parlor guitars. Then I came across Musician Madness selling the Alvarez PC1 Deluxe Wood Case – Parlor. Shipping was fast and the case is beautiful! It is a light tan canvas-looking material with reddish-brown leather-looking binding. The latches look like antique brass and there are four latches on the handle side of the case and a fifth latch on the opposite side. The top of the case is arched. The best part is that the guitar fits like a glove; it is very snug around the body. There is a little extra room around the headstock. And of course, there is a small compartment for accessories like a capo or tuner. Keys are included to lock the case if needed. Yes, it costs more than a gig bag, but I firmly believe you get what you pay for and this is a very cool, quality case.

I tried one of the “Universal” Parlor fit cases for my alvarez and found that it just didnt seem to conform to the guitar very well and ended up getting this one after that headache. Fits the Alvarez parlor style accoustic guitar perfectly, hugging snuggly on both the upper and lower bouts, with an appropriately placed recess for the strap button at the base. The latches keep it nice and secure, and the handle is nice and comfy with a decent balance with a guitar inside. The only downside is the price, but the quality really blows me away, so I’ll give it to them.

Very nice case, well made, looks nice. I bought it because I recently picked up an Alvarez parlor guitar, which this case is made for. But there's very little depth to it and it's REALLY tight closing on the lower bout of the guitar. It's also slightly long for the body. I suppose Alvarez makes a number of parlors with slightly different dimensions and mine DOES fit, if not quite perfectly. It's probably the best fitting case I'm gonna find, but an awful lot of hard cases made for a specific guitars (like Yamaha's cases for FG or FS guitars are pretty much perfect fits and all of their guitars within that basic model designation are basically identical dimensions (except for slight differences in neck width, scale, etc). So, four stars instead of five. Nothing to complain about, but a bit shy of perfect...

This case is perfect, the case fit my Alvarez acoustic very nice and snug. Exactly what I've been looking for.
