Advanced wireless MIDI transmission system

Our world leading wireless MIDI solution makes good old MIDI cables obsolete on stage. You can use your favourite MIDI controller as free as you have never imagined.

The system is able to transfer standard MIDI messages to a maximum of 250+ meter distance safely, with less than a minimum latency.

The system consists of a light-weight transmitter (fed by two AAA batteries), plus a receiver unit (sold together here). They are easily configurable with our web-based utility software.

The receiver catches the incoming messages and converts them for both USB and 5-pin DIN MIDI output for maximum compatibility.

Our two-box system connects any controller having a standard 5-pin MIDI Out socket to any of the following devices:

• any synthesizer, sound generator, effect device, computer having a standard MIDI In socket,

• any laptop or desktop computer having a USB connector,

• any iOS 7+ device (iPhone, iPad) with a Camera Kit.

Connect the TX02 unit to your controller's MIDI Out jack and switch them on. The small box is ready to air your performance data. (AAA size batteries are needed).

Connect the RX02 box to your destination's USB or MIDI In jack, and it starts to listen MIDI data from your transmitter. (If you use MIDI In you will need a mini-USB power supply widely used for mobile phones.)

But it's not the full story. You can use a maximum of as much as 76 transmitter-receiver pairs at the same place without any interference - just use the units' Pairing button to connect them.

And we still have a surprise. RX02 can act as a simple USB-to-MIDI cable interface with MIDI In and Out if you don't need the wireless operation apparently.

Installing the system is a breeze: no driver software is required and you don't have to fight with different settings - both boxes are plug-and-play devices.

What’s new in Version 2?

After shipping out a massive 4,000 systems worldwide, providing safe wireless MIDI connections for the biggest artists at the biggest stages, we have decided to take a serious step into an even more sophisticated solution. It is midiBeam v2 Wireless. It contains hardware and software improvements as well - all our existing users can enjoy all the advantages of the v2 system as a free update so everyone’s investment is saved.

New Version 2 features:

• a superstrong metal housed MIDI input connector on the transmitter,

• MIDI merge function - you can merge the transmitted wireless signal with an incoming wireless MIDI data stream,,

• you can switch on and off Running Status compatibility which is great for users of older MIDI gear,

• now we provide a web based utility where you can refresh the system’s firmware and set all the operation parameters of your midiBeam system.
